Overview
The Office Coordinator will act as the main contact for office activities and issue resolution with the warehouse and head office. They will also provide inside sales and support to customers in the assigned region, as well as provide full backup for the outside sales representatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain organization of the office, such as, keeping the facility customer ready, manage customer orders/shipments ensuring timely fulfillment and assisting in inventory planning/management.
  • Acting as the main point of contact during business hours at the branch.
  • Coordinate with the head office to establish and setup new customer accounts, including data entry and processing of new customer credit applications with the Finance department.
  • Become knowledgeable regarding key features and benefits of products and product groups to promote and sell products, and provide application support to customers.
  • Process customer orders and payments, including walk-in customers.
  • Maintain and improve customer service by developing customer relationships and staying in contact with customers to ensure the flow of communication.
  • Provide customers with accurate information regarding shipping costs and delivery times where necessary.
  • Assist with timely handling and resolution of customer product complaints, including changes to purchase orders, and obtaining serial numbers and other relevant information.
  • Gain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the ERP system.
  • Oversee inventory cycle counts as directed by supervisor.
  • Provide back-up coverage for other members
  • Provide and implement suggestions and initiatives to increase overall efficiency.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality with company information, as necessary.

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Work experience should include a minimum of two (2) years in a B2B sales or sales support role, preferably in a related industry.
  • Excellent sales skills and techniques, oral and written communication skills, typing and computer software skills.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to meeting or exceeding company expectations, goals and objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of computers and ERP systems.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future sales and decision making.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain accurate and detailed product and product application knowledge.
  • Exhibits a high level of integrity, mutual respect, and employee teamwork at all times.

Shifts: Mondays to Fridays, days

Salary: $45,000 to $50,000K/year

Salary: $70,000 to $75,000/year, based on experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday, days. There is flexibility to whichever shift suits the successful candidate. They will have a choice between 7am to 3:30pm or 8am to 4:30pm

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Production Technicians operating a 24/7 Citric Acid and Citrates production process
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations, policies and procedures for all workers performing tasks in the Purification Department
  • Ensure Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) requirements are met for food safety
  • Deliver a “zero defect” product out of purification
  • Achieve Purification production yield targets and volumes to meet production requirements
  • Perform workplace inspections every shift to keep the department “audit ready” at all times
  • Implement practical continuous improvement Kaizen initiatives to improve operating results
  • Fully understand the purification process to identify process issues and make process adjustments as necessary, including responding to out of spec in-process results
  • Monitor the process and make adjustments using the DCS control systems
  • Prepare for daily maintenance requirements and shutdown and lockout equipment to be worked on
  • Monitor plant steam and electrical consumption to meet sustainability targets
  • Train new employees, where required, on Purification operations
  • Member of the Emergency Response Team
Job Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, stationary or chemical (either specific courses, process work experience, or education)
  • BASc degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry is an asset
  • 5 years in a manufacturing preferably in food manufacturing or in a continuous flow refining process
  • A leader with the ability to support and motivate staff
  • Collaborative with a team-building spirit
  • Confident personality with assertiveness, independence and initiative
  • Resourceful and focused with a first-principle approach
  • Strong DCS and Microsoft Office experience

Job Responsibilites:

  • Directly responsible for ensuring that all health, safety and security procedures are observed and maintained at all times.
  • Direct the citric acid clarification and purification processes, which includes the safe and efficient operation of decanters, pre-coats, pre-coat filtration system, evaporators, ion-exchangers, carbon absorption equipment, crystallizers, drying and milling equipment, etc…
  • Monitor the clarification and purification processes ensuring all quality and production parameters are maintained and make adjustments as appropriate and necessary.
  • Communicate production issues/anomalies to Team Leader, Production Manager as necessary.
  • Liaise with quality assurance staff in resolving production and quality issues as necessary.
  • Maintain a log of shift activities and operating parameters.
  • Assist and back up the other Production Technicians as necessary.
  • Clean the production area and assist maintenance support staff in their activities.
  • Assist in process trouble-shooting and production optimization activities.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of operating procedures.
  • Perform inspections and daily rounds with the focus on health, safety and the environment, as well as equipment monitoring.
  • Support continuous improvement activities using Kaizen
  • Participating in training and implementing best practices on the job
  • Following health and safety standards to prevent injury
  • Participating in the identification and correcting of unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviours
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices within the areas of responsibility, including 5S and Kaizen initiatives while striving to be audit ready at all times.
  • Take on other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, stationary or chemical (either specific courses, process work experience, or education)
  • A minimum of 2 years related experience in a process-based work environment
  • Familiarity with digital control systems to the point of making changes and understanding impact of such changes
  • Manufacturing experience focused on a safety / quality / production balance in a hands-on capacity working with large scale automated processing equipment
  • Understanding of basic chemical purification and clarification techniques, general understanding of electrical interfaces and a mechanical aptitude are all assets
  • Ability to recognize process improvement opportunities
Shifts: 12 hour continental shifts, 7 to 7

Wage: $31.76/hr
