A growing chemical processing plant in Fort Erie is seeking General Labourers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Attends to the bagging stations for product
- Clean plant floors and equipment.
- machine and computer operation
- The General Labourer is also responsible for assisting in 50lb packaging.
- Other duties as required.
Job Qualifications:
- Completion of grade 12 or equivalent experience.
- Accurately fill the bags with the specified weight.
- Properly label the bags and record the weight of each bag.
- Record the bag numbers and weight for all bags produced on their shift.
- Remove garbage and other housekeeping tasks.
- Move products and raw materials within the plant as instructed by the Shift Supervisor.
- Previous manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively.
- Strong mathematical skills
- Mechanical aptitude, including knowledge and use of hand tools.
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50lb bags
- Must be comfortable using computers and computer operated machines
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
Shifts: There are two potential schedules 1) 8 hour shifts, Mondays to Fridays. Rotating weekly M.A.D. shifts. Midnights, Afternoons and Days and 2) 12 hour continental. It will be decided upon hiring so you must be able to work either shift.

- Assist maintenance technicians with parts dispensing to fulfill repair work-orders and perform inventory reconciliation
- < 3% travel for emergencies – may need to retrieve parts from suppliers or a cross-campus location

Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Associates degree in any area of study is required, preferably in business
- At least one (1) year of purchasing and/or material planning experience, three (3) years preferred
- Experience with ERP systems preferred but not required
- Relevant knowledge of service center for medium/heavy duty fleet, equipment & parts management
- Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to aggregate and analyze large data set.
- Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
